About the Video
MLS star Brek Shea demonstrates his go-to rotational core strength exercise, Cable Rotational Chops. He holds the cable attachment near his shoulder and then uses his core to explosively rotate down and away from the cable machine. He then extends his arms completely to drive the cable attachment out in front as far as possible.
The movement improves rotational strength in Brek's core and extension strength in his upper body, which in turn makes him more powerful on the field when he needs to fight through contact or rotate his body to fire a shot on goal.
Watch Brek demonstrate this strength in STACK's Behind the Highlights video series as he breaks down his long-distance, game-winning goal against Toronto last season.
