NHL forward Nail Yakupov's primary weapon on the ice is his speed. To improve stride frequency, power, efficiency and muscular endurance. he performs the Resisted Treadmill Sprint. Also, his feet are attached to resistance bands to build his hip flexors, which are critical for skating speed.

Resisted Treadmill Sprint

- Attach lightweight resistance band to ankles and harness around waist
- Sprint as fast as possible
- Do not sway side to side
- Lean forward with chin in front of toes
Sets/Duration: 5-8x10 seconds with 2-minute rest
