Bonci says that meals are typically eaten a few hours before a practice or a workout, but the body needs to be refueled during that period of exercise. If athletes don't feel like eating a lot because they know they have a tough workout ahead of them, Bonci recommends using the Gatorade chews or drinks to keep the body fueled.
Bonci talks about the importance of "parenthesizing" your workout, meaning supplementing your workout on the front and back end. This is where Gatorade's products come in to play.
