18-Year-Old MMA Fighter Ignores ‘Fist Bump’ Offer From Opponent, Gets Submission Finish in Record Time
The “glove tap” is a standard tradition in MMA.
Immediately after the opening bell, two fighters come together to touch gloves as a sign of sportsmanship and then proceed to beat the crap out of one another.
Aviv Gozali just decided to skip that first part.
Gozali and Eduard Muravitskiy met in the octagon at Bellator 225 on Saturday. Muravitskiy came out expecting a glove tap from his opponent, but Gozali had other plans. The 18-year-old Israeli, who’s the youngest fighter on the Bellator roster, ignored the offer and instead dove for Muravitskiy’s left ankle. Just 11 seconds into the fight, Gozali got the finish with a heel hook submission:
11 seconds was all it took for Aviv Gozali!

It was the fastest submission in Bellator history.
Poor sportsmanship, or was Gozali just so amped up that he saw red the moment that bell rung? We’ll let you decide.
