3 Basketball Offensive Drills to Score More Points
To score points in basketball, you need to know how to finish from more than one area on the court. This makes you an elite offensive threat instead of a one-dimensional player who is easy to defend. Basketball offensive drills that focus on finishing can give you these skills.
To develop these skills, you need to understand the fundamentals. You can’t just haphazardly mosey up to the rim for a layup or toss up a careless jump shot. You may be successful occasionally, but your percentages will be low if your technique is poor. To maximize your scoring opportunities and increase your shooting percentage, it’s much better to develop a repeatable skill that you can consistently execute on the court.

Basketball Offensive Drills
Two-Step Layup: This drill increases your stride length, allowing you to drive to the rim in fewer steps, making the layup more difficult to defend. Practicing this drill also helps you find your range on the layup so you have better accuracy.

Elbow Attack: This one gets you to the middle of the lane with a change-of-direction move that will catch your defender off guard so you can finish at the rim. It’s perfect when you’re in a one-on-one situation and looking for a way to get to the hoop for an easy score.
Pull-Up Jump Shot: This one is popular with NBA star Russell Westbrook. As you catch the defender backpedaling, lock in your feet and shoot the pull-up. Focus on form and follow-through.
