Thriller ‘Three Days to Kill’ With Kevin Costner Debuts in February
Three Days to Kill, starring Kevin Costner, is an atypical action-thriller. Although it features plenty of action and excitement, it also focuses on the value of close personal relationships.
After learning that he has terminal cancer, elite government hitman Ethan Hunter (Costner) quits his dangerous job to spend what’s left of his life with the family he’s neglected over the years. Having previously kept his distance to protect his estranged wife and daughter, he suddenly realizes what he’s missed by pushing his loved ones away.
Miraculously, Ethan gets a chance to beat the cancer when his agency offers him a potentially life-saving experimental drug. The only catch? You guessed it. He has to perform one last mission. Accepting the deal, he faces the most difficult challenge of his career, chasing the world’s worst terrorist while taking care of the daughter who’s back in his life. And let’s not forget to mention the hallucinogenic side effects of his new medication.
The cast features blonde bombshell Amber Heard (Machete Kills) as the woman who provides Hunter with the miracle drug. Sixteen-year-old Hailee Steinfeld (Ender’s Game) and Connie Nielsen (Boss) also star.
The film is directed by McG, best known for his two successful Charlie’s Angels movies. The screenplay was written by Luc Besson (Colombiana) and Robert Adi Hasak (From Paris with Love).
Three Days to Kill hits theaters Feb. 21, 2014.
