I love studying life hacks. With so much information at our fingertips today, it’s pretty easy to find really useful life hacks that can be a huge help in getting things done faster. I’m highly influenced by the hard work of Tim Ferris or Gary Vanyerchuck and all of the content they provide online. They are honest about their mistakes, and they love to teach people how to prevent them. We would be fools not to use their information.
The same can be done with fat loss. What if I told you there are fat loss hacks that could drastically increase your fat burning? You’d be all about it, right?

1. Nut Butter
It’s no secret. I have a sweet tooth. I always have. How do I combat this? Nut butter. My wife and I always keep a jar of organic, almond and peanut butter around in our pantry. Why?
Whenever I get a craving for sugar, I simply take a tablespoon of peanut butter and put it on my tongue. The sweetness of the butter satisfies my craving. It plain and simple works. Plus in that one tablespoon, I am getting 7 grams of protein and only 2 grams of sugar.

2. Pre-Cooked Hard Boiled Eggs
Prepackaged hard boiled eggs from Almark have made my life a lot easier. You can buy them at Costco by the dozen and they are super useful!
Is boiling eggs really that hard to do? No. But the time I save by not having to boil them and clean up the mess makes buying them well worth it. More protein, less mess. Win-Win.

3. Protein Powder
This hack comes straight from behind the scenes in fitness. I guarantee you that if you ask trainers whether they have used it before, 90 percent of them will say “yes.”
I put my protein powder on oatmeal, yogurt, pancake flour and of course my shakes.
The flavor is an awesome kick and I’m for sure getting nice whey protein in my body. Seriously, you have to try this one. I trust Advocare when it comes to proteins. Their chocolate flavor is on point.

4. Coconut Oil
I replaced the vegetable oil in my house with coconut oil a long time ago.
Coconut oil has a ton of benefits that we all need to burn fat. Its fats are the healthy ones that you want in your body, and coconut oil also helps to reduce your appetite later in the day. Coconut oil can be used in virtually any recipe—both stove top and baking.

Now that my little man Hudson is growing up and sleeping more I am back on the 5 a.m. lifting grind with John Papp. That means I’m waking up at 4:15 a.m. and getting to my workout at 4:50 a.m.
It’s early but having Spark in the morning fixes that. I wake up instantly in a great mood with good focus, and I’m ready to dominate my workout. Spark is a huge help for me when it comes to getting my fat burning going.
I use Spark as soon as I wake up and again around 2 or 3 p.m. The caffeine makes me less hungry and more focused. It helps to keep me away from sugary snacks and other foods that might derail my goals.
We all know we should drink water, but many of us still fail to do it. Let me say this one more time. YOU NEED TO DRINK WATER TO LOSE FAT! Got it? Cool.
How do I make sure that I get my water in? I do it with my trusty Nalgene bottle. I never leave the house without it and it’s always nearby. It constantly reminds me to drink water, and I always hit my goal of drinking a gallon per day. You can skate by without a Nalgene, but if you are trying to get your water from little bottles, it’s more difficult. Invest in a nice bottle and keep it nearby so you can constantly be reminded to drink water.
