6-Foot-7, 282-Pound Yankees Rookie Aaron Judge Is Absolutely Demolishing Baseballs
Aaron Judge is enormous.
The 24-year-old rookie right fielder for the New York Yankees measures 6-foot-7, 282 pounds. That’s freakish size for an NFL defensive end, but for an MLB outfielder? Well, it’s practically unheard of.
Although Judge flashed some power during his September call-up for the Yankees last season, he also struck out 42 times in 84 at-bats and hit just .179. So far, 2017 has been a very different story.

Through eight regular season games, Judge has three home runs and seven RBIs. He’s hitting .308 and carrying a .379 OBP. But Judge’s hits aren’t like other players’. His massive frame and impressive strength result in missile line drives and moonshot dingers.
Judge currently owns three of the six hardest hit balls in the MLB this season:
Hardest balls hit this season:
Hosmer 118.1 mph
Judge 117.2
Judge 116.5
Souza Jr. 116.2
Puig 116
Judge 115.8
Gary Sanchez 115.7
Gallo 115.6— Daren Willman (@darenw) April 13, 2017
This rocket of a base hit he smashed on Wednesday nearly decapitated Tampa Bay Rays pitcher Jumbo Diaz:

He’s hitting home runs so high that someone should inform air traffic control at LaGuardia and JFK.
[youtube video=”vzYocHL8tZM”] [youtube video=”qmN0WmK6Src”]Yankees third baseman Chase Headley recently told ESPN that Judge hits the ball farther in batting practice than anyone he’s ever seen. “Watching his BP, I mean, I’ve seen balls go farther than balls I have ever seen. Obviously, he is a massive human being. He has that kind of power,” Headley said. “He’s a freak.”
Training footage of Judge is scarce, but what’s there is impressive. He moves quite well for a giant:
