Welch's Fruit Snacks are not healthy.
Their packaging tries to hide that fact, boasting that "Fruit is our 1st Ingredient!".
Technically, they're right. But it's actually a "fruit puree", which is vastly different than whole fruit.
And guess what the second and third ingredients are for most varieties? Corn syrup and sugar.
That's how a 15-piece serving ends up packing 12 grams of sugar.
The fact that most varieties contain zero grams of fiber is a dead giveaway that these snacks are far removed from actual fruit.
Do they contain some vitamins? Sure. But you'd be much better off with an actual orange, apple, banana, etc.
