A 9-Year Old Girl Completed a 24-Hour Navy SEALs Obstacle Race That Included a 36-Mile Run and Is Better Than You at Everything
Do you think you’re tough because you play a contact sport? Or do you think you’re a beast because you can bench more weight than your friends?
Well, it’s time to eat a gigantic slice of humble pie, because a 9-year-old girl has you beat.
Weighing in at only 53 pounds, Milla Bozzotto recently competed in and finished the BattleFrog BFX24 obstacle course race at Virginia Key Beach. This is not a standard race. The event was held on a course designed by the Navy SEALs to physically and psychologically test their recruits. The 24-hour race included a 26-mile run, a 5-mile swim and 25 challenging obstacles.
For even the fittest athletes, this sounds miserably brutal. But according to Milla’s father, Christian, who ran the race with her, she absolutely crushed it.
“I’m so proud of her,” he said to the Miami Herald. “She was so amazing the entire race. She is really so relentless and refuses to quit.”
Milla competed in the race to inspire other kids to get fit and to stand up against bullying.
“I don’t want to play video games,” Milla said. “I don’t want to Hoverboard. I don’t want to do things to make life easier. I want to be comfortable being uncomfortable. I have one body and it’s all I want and all I love.”
Milla’s tremendous accomplishment proves that people can do anything if they can put their minds to it.
