Run Faster Than Ever With adidas adiZero Rush Running Shoes
The lighter the shoe, the faster you run. That’s the principle adidas has applied to their line of minimalist shoes since launching the first adiZero. Now runners can get their hands—or feet, rather—on a pair of adiZero Rush running shoes.
“The adiZero Rush will be the lightest product in its class,” says adidas Running category manager Jim Jennings. The shoe weighs in at an astonishing 7.5 ounces, which is remarkable considering the technology and innovation it embodies.
Jennings claims the Rush’s SprintFrame is the key factor in taking an athlete’s speed to a new level. He says, “[It] allows for increased energy return, especially through the forefoot.” And SprintFrame also ensures that the foot stays locked in and stable—vital for running.
“When you put it on, you absolutely feel how lightweight it is,” Jennings adds. “The feedback we’ve gotten from athletes is the amount of support, the amount of cushioning that you’re getting underfoot. It feels like much more of a shoe than actually what you have on.”
“It’s all about the athlete” is a phrase we often heard during a visit to adidas headquarters in Portland. And the adiZero Rush is no exception to the motto. You can order a pair at shopadidas.com. Both men’s and women’s models are offered in several different colorways for $100.
