Adrian Peterson has Joined Jameis Winston’s Workouts With Michael Jordan’s Trainer
If you come around these parts often enough, you’re well aware that Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Jameis Winston has spent most of his NFL career training with Tim Grover, the man best known as Michael Jordan’s trainer. The results speak for themselves. Since linking up with Grover, Winston has dropped over 20 pounds and completely transformed his body, after coming into the league a bit overweight as a rookie.
Current free agent running back Adrian Peterson has apparently taken notice. Peterson was spotted working out alongside Winston at ATTACK Athletics, the workout facility owned by Grover, as he attempts to stay in shape until he signs with an NFL team.
Peterson and Winston ran through a couple of agility drills together, first running and tapping a series of three rods that light up to the left, center and right of his starting position, then hopping over a hurdle then ducking under another one before sprinting to the finish line across the indoor field.
Afterward, the two men posed for a photo with Grover and quarterback whisperer George Whitfield Jr., who is presumably also working with Winston this offseason.
[instagram src=”https://www.instagram.com/p/BSO4vUjAr7P”]Peterson is still looking for a team, and it just so happens that Buccaneers starting running back Doug Martin is suspended for the first three games of the 2017 season. Even Bucs head coach Dirk Koetter said he’s “anxious” to chat with his quarterback about how Peterson looked during their joint workouts.
Don’t be surprised to find Peterson in a Bucs uni when their season opens in September.
