After Huge Upset of Roger Federer, All John Millman Could Think About Was His Fantasy Football Draft
John Millman is a 29-year-old, unranked Australian tennis player who found himself matched up against Roger Federer in the fourth round of the 2018 US Open. That type of sentence doesn’t usually bode well for the person lining up across from perhaps the greatest tennis player in the world, but for Millman, it ended in a four-set stunner that pushed the Aussie into a semifinals matchup with Novak Djokovic.
Despite having never defeated a top-10 player before, and despite having never made it this far in a major in his career, Millman was focused on something else entirely after taking down Federer—his fantasy football draft.

During his post-match interview, Millman expressed concern that it was already 1 a.m., seeing as how his fantasy draft started in just six hours and he was undecided of who take with his first pick.
“I’ve got the second pick and I don’t know whether to go (Todd) Gurley or Le’Veon Bell,” Millman told a reporter.
Here’s hoping Millman was able to figure it out.
