Although it’s certainly true that Michael Jordan put fear in the hearts of his opponents as he terrorized the NBA with his incredible ability, it was another type of fear—the fear of not reaching his potential—that led His Airness to become the best player to ever grace a basketball court. That fear became the inspiration for this weekend’s “Fear Pack,” a kit featuring a deep black twist on the Air Jordan III, IV and V. The quotes on the shoe’s insoles read, “I’m scared of what I won’t become” and “You’re scared of what I could become”—a tribute to MJ’s 2008 “Look Me in the Eyes” Air Jordan commercial.
