Last Sunday, the New Zealand All Blacks rugby team faced off against their English rivals in the Hong Kong Sevens tournament, clinching their 11th title with a 26-7 win. What really got the Internet in a frenzy, however, was what happened after the match.
Following their win, the entire team took off their shirts in celebration and performed an ancestral war dance—in the middle of a torrential rainstorm. The Haka is a traditional Māori posture dance, typically performed before a rugby match to intimidate the opposition. But in this case, the New Zealand Sevens team saved it for after the win, clearly the more opportune moment.
