Nike's All-Weather Soccer Cleats Hit the Market
Nike’s all-weather soccer cleats are designed to give players a firm grip on the ball in rain, sleet and snow. The new cleats, which hit worldwide retailers on Oct. 15, feature ACC technology—All Conditions Control.
During production, Nike treats ACC cleats with a special solution that helps players keep control of the ball regardless of weather conditions. ACC technology is available in four different models: Mercurial Vapor VIII, Tiempo Legend IV, CTR360 Maestri III (pictured above) and the Total 90 Laser IV.
Soccer blogs worldwide describe ACC technology as a type of Rain-X for soccer cleats. Rain-X is a solution that causes rain and water to bead up on automobile windshields, reducing the need for windshield wipers.
Soccer regularly claims the title of the world’s most popular sport. Nike’s ACC technology will surely benefit soccer players in areas of the world with high precipitation levels, especially parts of South America, where annual rainfaul can reach 500 inches per year. Nike’s all-weather soccer cleats will make playing soccer in these rainy countries easier for athletes. Wear ACC cleats like dominant midfielders Andres Iniesta and Jack Wilshere, and take control of the ball.
