Analeigh Tipton Takes the Lead in Psychological Thriller ‘Sadie’
Analeigh Tipton (Crazy Stupid Love) will star alongside Peter Gadiot (Tut) in the big screen psychological thriller Sadie.
The premise centers on Tipton’s character, Sadie, a young novelist, who is persuaded by her ex-boyfriend Alex to accept an invitation to his Italian villa for a weekend celebration he is organizing to honor Sadie’s new book. When she arrives, Sadie grows suspicious of Alex’s real intentions. Making things more interesting, they are joined by an enigmatic woman named Charlotte. The situation turns frightening when the two women become entangled in a risky game of moral and sexual exploration.
Starring as Alex is Jakob Cedergren (Those Who Kill). Gadiot is cast as Sadie’s recent boyfriend, Thierry, who becomes an unwitting pawn in Alex’s plan. The role of Charlotte has not yet been cast.
Sadie will be directed by Craig Goodwill, known for directing the award-winning 2014 fantasy adventure flick Patch Town. Goodwill is also producing the picture along with Mike Macari (The Ring) and Brian Dreyfuss. The screenplay was written by Brian C. Clark, who is making his feature film screenwriting debut with this project.
In addition to acting, Tipton is known for being a figure skater and a model (America’s Next Top Model). She has several exciting projects lined up, including the James Franco drama In Dubious Battle, in theaters next year, and the farcical comedy The Runaround, which she is currently filming with J.K. Simmons and Emile Hirsch.
Filming on Sadie is expected to begin in Italy this November.
