‘Angry Birds’ Now Free
What’s better than playing Angry Birds? Playing Angry Birds for free! In an attempt to attract new gamers, pique the interest of seasoned players and reignite the international downloading frenzy that made Angry Birds the most popular iPhone and iPad app worldwide, the app’s creator, Finnish entertainment media company Rovio, is offering a free download of the original version of the popular app. The developers make it a point to mention their success in their advertisements and game previews.
For the first time since May 2010, when it was originally released, Angry Birds recently fell off the chart of the top 80 currently highest-grossing iPhone apps. In addition to offering the app for free, Rovio has added 15 new levels to the game, giving veteran players a chance to hone their puzzle skills and test their game on some new content.
Angry Birds is a casual puzzle game that became an international sensation within the first year of its release. According to Wikipedia, its combined 1.7 billion downloads across all platforms (and including both regular and special editions) make it “the largest mobile app success the world has seen so far.” It is still the number one paid app of all time. Right now there are six Angry Bird games: the original, Seasons, Rio, Space, Magic and Star Wars. Each has a variety of themes and unique puzzles to challenge all age levels.
Download Angry Birds from the iTunes App or the Google Play store.
