Brandon Jennings’ new Under Armour commercial aired on ESPN last night. And with “No Basketball Anymore” ferociously trending on Twitter today, we can’t think of a better time to remind ourselves that the sport of basketball will keep going (even if the NBA does not).
“Are You From Here?” calls attention to the importance of representing your hometown and reminds us that “Here is earned.” Jennings says, “I am from a place [Compton, Calif.] that says a thousand things in two syllables…where greatness is born through fearless vision and unconditional devotion…Being from here holds a certain weight.” (For more on Jennings’ journey from Compton to the NBA, check out our exclusive interview).
