We'll have to wait a little longer to get our hands on Batman: Arkham Knight. The title was expected to arrive late last year, but was pushed to June 2. Now, we're told it will launch June 23. But what's three more weeks when the opportunity to drive the Batmobile through open-world Gotham is at stake?
"We're a developer that hates to make any compromises, so we are sorry to say this means it's going to be just a little bit longer until you can play the epic conclusion to the Arkham trilogy," said game director Sefton Hill. "As a reward for your patience and understanding, and to make the wait even more unbearable, we are pleased to whet your appetite with a new gameplay video."

Last year, Rocksteady and Warner Bros. expressed similar sentiments. The stakes and expectations are high for Arkham Knight, and they want to deliver. "We just want to make this the best experience that we can, and that takes time," Rocksteady marketing manager Guy Perkins told GameSpot last year. "We feel that we have an absolutely awesome game in the works, and we want to make it as great as it possibly can be. . . We want to make sure we're absolutely nailing it 100 percent."
According to reports, the developer will also release remastered versions of the first two titles in the trilogy, Arkham Asylum and Arkham City, for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One later this year.
