STACK Battle of the Brands Week 14 Preview
Welcome to the 14th and final week of the STACK Battle of the Brands fantasy football regular season. A few notes on the starting lineups to help set you up for the final slate of games before the postseason.
Good news for Team adidas: they welcome RB DeMarco Murray back to the starting lineup for the first time since Week 6. Murray made his official return last week and racked up 20 fantasy points, albeit on the bench for adidas. His presence is certainly a boost for the Three Stripes entering the postseason.
Still no sign of Maurice Jones-Drew, and it’s fair to wonder if he’ll return at all this season. Although his absence has sunk plenty of fantasy teams, Team Reebok continues to persevere without its lead back, thanks to big-time production from its wide receiving rotation of Brandon Marshall, Reggie Wayne and Roddy White.
Matt Ryan recorded the lowest point total for Team Nike in its last game, and he hasn’t scored more than 20 points in the last three weeks. With Matty Ice cooling off, Nike will need a little “luck” for the postseason—Andrew Luck, that is. The rookie QB gets the start this week.
Steve Smith finally showed up last week for Team Under Armour. Still, he’s fifth in scoring among Under Armour wide receivers. So we’re bringing in the other Smith: Torrey Smith, who has a juicy matchup against a Washington Redskins secondary that’s allowed the second most points to wide receivers this season.
