Platinum Edition of ‘Beyoncé’ Coming This Month
Lee Anne Callahan-Longo, general manager for the pop star’s Parkwood Entertainment Company, released a statement denying that a new project is the works, even suggesting that Bey may never drop another surprise album. “It’s completely made up. After all the hubbub this weekend, we kind of said, ‘Well, let’s just put it out and say what it is,'” said Callahan-Longo. “You can only be first once, so I’m not sure we’d want to [release a surprise album] again. We typically at Parkwood like to look at projects where, if it isn’t unique or different in some way, it’s really not interesting to us.”
That doesn’t mean we won’t be treated to anything from Bey. According to reports, the diva will release a platinum edition box set of her recently released Beyoncé album on Nov. 24, including the eponymous album and a separate six-song disc titled More, which will include remixes of songs like “Flawless,” “Drunk in Love,” “Slow,” “Standing on the Sun,” and the previously unreleased tracks: “7/11” and “Ring Off.”
Two DVDs will be included in the set. One is a collection of live performances from her latest world tour, songs off the album in addition to “Get Me Bodied” and “Run the World (Girls).” The other is the original DVD featuring the 17 music videos for the album. There will also be an official 2015 mini-calendar
Beyoncé, originally released last December, has sold more than two million copies to date.
