Hornets’ Bismack Biyombo Gives New Meaning to the Term ‘Team Run’
This summer, Charlotte Hornets center Bismack Biyombo has been traveling in his native Republic of Congo. Biyombo, 21, was born in Lubumbashi, the country’s second largest city.
Biyombo was drafted 7th overall by the Sacramento Kings in 2011. At the Nike Hoops Summit that year, participating for the World Select Team against the USA Select Team, Biyombo recorded the first triple-double in the event’s history.
This past week, Biyombo had a little fun with some kids from the Congolese capital city of Kinasha, leading them on a run through the streets. In an Instagram video Biyombo posted, the running group looks in sync and on point, calling on its leader to bust a move.
