Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore are back for their third romantic comedy together. In Blended, the two play single parents who may or may not end up together. It’s definitely not love at first sight.
Their characters, Jim and Lauren, agree never to see each again after going on a blind date from hell. However, fate throws them together once again when they both sign up for an exciting family vacation and share a luxury suite for an entire week at a safari resort in Africa.
Community’s Joel McHale stars as Lauren’s ex-husband, and Wendi McLendon-Covey (Bridesmaids) plays her best friend. The cast also features Terry Crews, Jessica Lowe, Kevin Nealon, Susan Yeagley and sports media personality Dan Patrick.
Directing the film is Frank Coraci, who previously directed Barrymore and Sandler in The Wedding Singer. The screenplay was written by television writer Ivan Menchell (Jonas) and Clare Sera (Doin’ It Yourself).
Blended hits theaters nationwide May 23, 2014.
