The big screen drama Bravetown—about Josh Harvest, a gifted but lonely teenage musician who goes on a life-altering journey—features an all-star cast that includes Josh Duhamel, Maria Bello and rising talent Lucas Till (X-Men: Days of Future Past). The story is very much about the impact people can have on each other’s lives. During a difficult time, Josh (played by Till) is forced into counseling, where he must confront issues from his past so he can follow his passion for music and experience love with Kerry, a local girl played by actress and dancer Katrina Norman (No Strings Attached).
Josh starts out feeling like he’s against the world, but things change as he encounters others searching for their own fate, and he discovers he has an important purpose.
Duhamel is cast in the role of Alex, described as a lifeline for the troubled young musician. The cast also features Tom Everett Scott (Z Nation), Laura Dern (The Fault in Our Stars), and Christopher Martinez (500 Days of Summer.)
The screenplay was written by Oscar Orlando Torres, best known for the 2004 war film Innocent Voices and the fantasy thriller The Vineyard.
Making his feature film directorial debut is Daniel Duran, who is also producing the picture.
Bravetown opens in theaters nationwide May 8.
