Build Muscle on the Road With This 15-Minute Workout
Sun’s out, guns out!
I love this time of the year. This is when we get to break free from our stuffy, crowded gyms and and get in some intense outdoor workouts.
There’s nothing wrong with working out inside the gym, but every once in awhile it’s good to smell the fresh air, feel the sun and sweat buckets. I send this 15-minute full-body outdoor workout to my top clients when they are at home or on vacation.
The best part is that you need only minimal equipment. Grab one dumbbell or any type of weight (could be a kettlebell or a plate), and you’ll be ready to sculpt your entire body.
Do the workout as fast as you can with proper form, either as a finisher or a full-body workout. Your body will be dripping with sweat and you will quickly see some definition.
The Warm-Up
(3 minutes)

The Set-Up
Place 4 cones or any kind of marker on the ground 10 yards apart.
How You Do It
Do this workout in “suicide fashion,” meaning that you will go back and forth between the exercises.
Go from Cone 1 to Cone 2, back to Cone 1, to Cone 2 again, reverse to Cone 3, etc.—You’ll see what I mean in the video.
Cone 1
- Goblet Squats – x10
- Forward Lunge – 10 yards
Cone 2
- Plank Roll & Row – 5 each arm, 10 total
- Reverse Lunge – 10 Yards
Cone 3
- Bent Over Rows – 10 each arm
- Jog – 10 yards
Cone 4
- 10 Push-Ups (chest hits bell)
