Cam Newton's Night Out With Under Armour
For NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year Cam Newton, it’s a time to reflect. Newton became the first player to pass for 4,000 yards in his first year, and he also registered 700 rushing yards and 14 TDs on the ground. Even with all the hype of doubting analysts and the glare of the spotlight focused on him, the Carolina Panthers QB dominated his competition. At 6’5″ and 250 pounds, he looks like a tight end, but Newton runs like a halfback and has a cannon for an arm.
In the latest Under Armour spot (below), the brand highlights Newton’s dedication and determination to succeed. Watch closely for glimpses of the new UA Highlight Cleat, available on April 6. Under Armour says it has been designed specifically for a new generation of athletes like Newton. The flexible high-top construction reduces the need for excessive taping, which may help wearers become more mobile—not that Newton needs much help.
