Chris Mohr Talks Nutrition at Super Bowl XLVII
Cincinnati Bengals sports nutrition consultant Chris Mohr took some time out at Super Bowl XLVII in New Orleans to describe the typical breakfast, lunch and dinner he recommends for his players.
For breakfast, Mohr starts with an egg wrap with vegetables and potatoes, an English muffin and a side of fruit. This combination provides the carbs and protein necessary for performance. For lunch, Mohr suggests broccoli, carrots and peppers and a mix of potatoes and chicken, once again providing the carbs and protein needed to fuel performance and spur recovery. Dinner includes a large portion of pork, a half plate of vegetables and another serving of potatoes. Again, Mohr says this combination of food helps with both performance and recovery.
