Chicago Bulls superstar Derrick Rose is everything you’d ever want in an NBA player, so it should come as no surprise that his soon-to-be released adiZero Rose 2.0 is everything you’d ever want in both a basketball and a casual shoe.
Like its predecessor, the adiZero Rose 2.0 is incredibly light while providing plenty of support, so the 6’3” point guard can explode to the hoop without losing speed or risking a twisted ankle. Rose particularly enjoyed adidas’ mention of other NBA teams that frequently face the Bulls in marquee matchups. “On the tongue, it says ‘All Flights Are Canceled,’ and on the inside of the sole, [there are] a whole bunch of cities,” he says, pointing out NBA juggernauts like L.A. and Boston. “On the flight detail, it says all of them are canceled but Chicago.” Only Chicago is “cleared for takeoff.”
As he displays adidas’ symbolic volcanic print on the bottom of the shoe, Rose says, “I play with a lot of speed when I burst down the court.” But more than anything, Rose loves a good basketball shoe that you can also wear to school, because not everyone can afford two pairs of shoes.
