View With Your Crew Preview: Die Hard 5
There’s a reason the Die Hard series is still in heavy rotation in pro locker rooms more than 20 years after the first movie was released. With non-stop action and a penchant for explosions, these films deliver an amazing adrenaline rush, which most athletes crave before a game.
If you haven’t seen the first four Die Hard movies, or just want a refresher, now’s the time to buy them for your next road trip, because the fifth installment, Die Hard 5: A Good Day To Die Hard, is currently in pre-production. This time around, we will find John McClane (Bruce Willis) in Russia on a mission to rescue his son, John Jr., before getting pulled into a fight for world domination (as usual). The role of McClane’s son has yet to be cast, but Shia LaBeouf’s name is being thrown around.
Haven’t seen the first four Die Hard movies? Here’s what you’ve missed:
Die Hard (1988)
New York cop John McClane gives terrorists a taste of their own medicine as they hold an L.A. office building hostage.
Die Hard 2 (1990)
McClane battles mercenaries who have seized an airport and threaten to cause chaos in the air at Christmas.
Die Hard With a Vengeance (1995)
McClane is forced to play a bomber’s deadly game in a race through New York.
Live Free and Die Hard (2007)
The aging McClane tracks down Internet terrorists who are systematically shutting down the United States with the help of a group of young rogue computer hackers.
The Die Hard series is about explosive action, impossible physical feats, sweat, blood and clocks ticking to doomsday. It’s about McClane escaping from a burning tower, only to find a worse predicament on the ground.
If you start watching the series now, you’ll have plenty of time to memorize all the lines before Die Hard 5 comes out. A Good Day to Die Hard is slated for release on Valentine’s Day 2013.
