Toronto Raptors super fan and well known rapper Drake wasn’t in his customary courtside seat to watch his squad take down the Cleveland Cavaliers last night, the first time LeBron James and Co. have suffered a defeat in the 2016 NBA Playoffs—but wherever he was, he was watching.
Immediately following the Raptors 99-84 Game 3 win, which cut the Cavs’ series lead to 2-1, Drake posted a shot of LeBron from his first go-round in Cleveland showing the star with a look of shock, sadness and/or confusion plastered on his face. Within the caption, Drake announced he’d be “flying home for Game 4,” while tagging the Cleveland Cavaliers official DJ, Steph Floss, a good friend of his.
It was a bold move to troll a man who’s averaging 23.5 points per game on 52 percent shooting, but Drake and LeBron have been friends for awhile now, so it was more of a friendly ribbing than anything else. Still, we wouldn’t be shocked if LeBron goes for 40 points in Monday’s Game 4, and turning and staring Drizzy down after every make.
And let’s not forget, this is how Drake shoots a basketball:
