Duke’s Grayson Allen Flopped In Outrageous Fashion Last Night (And It Totally Worked)
Grayson Allen has evolved into the ultimate Duke villain.
Like Christian Laettner before him, Allen has become the player opposing fans love to hate.
For one, he’s really good. Allen’s currently averaging 17.2 points, 4.8 rebounds and 3.6 assists per game for the Blue Devils. But he’s also conniving. He flops, he trips players and he does it all with a smug little smile on his face that makes you want to smash your television.
His performance last night might’ve taken the cake. During the first half of Duke’s game against Tennessee State, Allen drove to the rim, missed a layup and crashed to the floor like he’d been hit by a semi. The thing is, no one actually touched him. Check it out:
You’re the worst, Grayson. The absolute worst. https://t.co/Ub0Buo2KGN

Allen seems to kick out his trail leg and his foot grazes Tennessee State’s Darreon Reddick, but that shouldn’t have been enough to make a 6-foot-5, 202-pound athlete dive-bomb into the floor. Of course, Reddick got called for a foul and Allen promptly drained both free throws.
Life’s not always fair, kids.
