adidas Rolls Out All-Star Sneakers For Dwight Howard & Tim Duncan
Sneaker geeks rejoice! adidas has unveiled signature all-star sneakers for NBA big men Dwight Howard and Tim Duncan.
Duncan will hit the basketball court on Feb. 17 rocking the latest adidas Crazy Fast sneakers. (STACK gets up close and personal with Duncan.) The shoe’s new SprintWeb design, redoubled by its tight panels, will give players the support and confidence to move fast on the court. The sneaker colors are unique: a green body, with yellow streaks along the front upper and a black tongue and outsole. Besides Duncan, several other basketball players are expected to wear Crazy Fast kicks, including Jrue Holiday of the Philadelphia 76ers and participants in the Rising Stars Challenge events on Saturday night.
The All-Star edition of the D Howard Light is sure to please. The shoe is red, with dark accents highlighting a camo pattern. Both the “dh” emblem on the tongue and the adidas logo on the side are chromed out to look like the backside of a CD, in tribute of the seven-time NBA All-Star’s love of music. As Dwight Howard’s lightest signature shoe to date (remember his shoe from last year?), the sneaker allows him to expand his explosive style of play without sacrificing comfort or support.
A special version of the adizero Crazy Light 2, “the lightest basketball shoe on the planet,” per adidas, will also be released ahead of All-Star weekend. The sneaker weighs in at an enviable 9.5 ounces, with a camo green zest colorway that will give it an edge flash-wise over the other sneakers on the court. The company has yet to confirm release dates or pricing.
