Dwyane Wade’s Son Zaire May Soon Be One of the Best High School Basketball Players in the Country
We live in a time when the sons of current and former NBA greats are beginning to dominate the AAU and high school basketball circuits. You probably know all about LeBron James’s kids, the eldest of whom reportedly received an offer from Duke when he was in middle school. There’s Shaquille O’Neal’s sons, the oldest of whom is Shareef, a 6-foot-9 beast. Manute Bol’s son Bol Bol is balling out too. And the list goes on.

But there’s another NBA mini-me that we’ve all been sleeping on, and it’s probably time to wake up. Dwyane Wade’s son Zaire, a freshman in high school, might already own one of the best jumpers in the entire country. This recent highlight tape of Zaire’s work at various tournaments shows the southpaw pulling up effortlessly from deep to splash a myriad of 3s, throwing gorgeous dimes and hitting one defender with such a vicious step-back move that he goes tumbling into the sidelines.
Zaire is set to graduate in 2020. Colleges will be hounding him for his services throughout his high school career, and for good reason. For as much press as we give other NBA sons for doing their thing, Wade might end up as the best of the bunch.
