Elite 24 Special Airs March 24
If you want an inside look at what it takes to be one of the best high school basketball players in the nation, be sure to watch ESPNU’s Elite 24 on March 24. The program goes behind the scenes at the 2010 Boost Mobile Elite 24 event, which showcased 24 top male high school basketball players from around the country, including Austin Rivers [committed to Duke], Quinn Cook [committed to Duke], Nick Johnson [committed to Arizona], Myck Kabongo [committed to Texas] and Shabazz Muhammad [junior at Bishop Gorman High School].
The one-hour special focuses on these five highly rated players and their experiences during the three-day event in Venice Beach, Calif. In addition to on-court competition, players are schooled on handling media attention, including tips on how current NBA players deal with pressure.
STACK recommends all high school basketball players watch it and be inspired. Elite 24 will debut on ESPNU on Thursday, March 24, at 9 p.m., then air again on ESPN2 on Monday, March 28, at 11 p.m.
