New ‘Far Cry 4’ Trailers Highlight Weapons, Pre-Order Bonuses
Ubisoft has released two new trailers for Far Cry 4. Check them out below!
The first introduces gamers to Longinus, the go-to weapons dealer and former warlord who has found God and is semi-reformed. In his “church away from church,” he stocks flamethrowers, auto-crossbows, SMGs, machine guns, mortars, blades, bait to release wild animals, and much more.
The second focuses on the perks of pre-ordering. Gamers who opt to be early birds will get a free upgrade to the Limited Edition, which includes three missions featuring the monkey-loving wacko Hurk, and three weapons, including his harpoon gun.
Far Cry 4 will unfold in the Himalayas. Players will take on the role of Ajay Ghale, who returns to Kyrat, his mother’s homeland, to scatter her ashes and gets swept up in a civil war between the natives and the forces of Pagan Ming, a self-appointed king.
The game has been compared to its critically applauded predecessor and will feature many of FC3‘s mechanics, with a few adjustments. The new title will also feature a map about the same size as the third installment, but there will be more things to do.
“It’s a lot more dense in terms of how many activities, points of interest and civilians there are,” senior designer Vincent Ouellette told IGN. “On top of that we also have the arena, which you can play indefinitely, and we got the Himalaya missions on top of the mountains, as well as Shangri-La, which lets you explore the myths and legends of the beliefs held by the people in Kyrat. So taken all together, the general offering is much bigger.”
