FIBA One to Watch: Spain's Ricky Rubio
The 2010 FIBA World Basketball Championship begins this weekend in Istanbul, where the focus will be on the young Team USA squad led by Derrick Rose and Kevin Durant. However, another player worth scoping out is Spain’s Ricky Rubio, a 19-year-old phenom many consider the best European guard prospect ever. Drafted by the Minnesota Timberwolves in ’09 as the fifth overall pick, Rubio has yet to reach an agreement with the ‘Wolves and will continue to play in Spain until that happens.
