Kellen Winslow Jr. has been out of the NFL for two years, so it’s easy to forget how prolific the former University of Miami tight end was, both in college and the pros. His best season came in 2007 as a member of the Cleveland Browns, when he caught 82 passes for 1,106 yards and five touchdowns. Two seasons later, he racked up 884 yards and five more touchdowns with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
But Winslow hasn’t seen an NFL field since 2013. After being suspended four games for use of performance enhancing drugs, then running into legal trouble the following off-season, Winslow was a man without a team. He turned to DJing (yes, DJing) to keep himself busy.
I’m putting my life’s work into this comeback. #LoveDaGame #NFL

Only 33 years old, Winslow appears ready to relive his NFL glory days. After tweeting his desire to make a comeback, Winslow has begun posting motivational photos to his account, including one of him looking much thinner than he was during his playing days, though equally as jacked.

Whether an NFL team will agree to take a chance on a guy who will have been out of the league for three years when the 2016 campaign starts is anyone’s guess, but Winslow Jr. used to ball. At 33, he might not be out of fuel quite yet.
