After a 2015 season in which former Heisman trophy winner and NFL Rookie of the Year Robert Griffin III took not a single snap under center, the polarizing quarterback was back as a starting quarterback for the Cleveland Browns in 2016. His return to the field lasted all of one game, as RG3 was injured in the fourth quarter of the Browns' opener against the Philadelphia Eagles, causing him to miss most of the 2016 campaign before returning to start in the Browns' final four games.
Though his performance in those five starts was inconsistent (an adjective used to describe Griffin's play since his magical rookie season in 2012), it was good to see him back playing quarterback after a final few tumultuous years in Washington. His future in Cleveland is murky, but that hasn't stopped Griffin, now totally healthy going into the off-season, from putting in work in the gym, even when he's on vacation.
Hanging out in what appears to be an exotic and tropical location, Griffin gave us a sneak peek into a recent workout that focused mostly on his core. Making heavy use of an exercise ball and weighted plates, RG3 looks intent on strengthening his core so he can stay healthy for an entire season, a feat he hasn't accomplished since his rookie year.
