Future’s Baby Mama Requests Child Support Increase
During a recent TV interview, southern rapper Future boasted that he carries a minimum of $25,000 in cash on his person at all times. The braggadocio’s claim may not raise red flags for the average fan; however, according to TMZ, it is now at the center of a legal battle between the entertainer and Jessica Smith, the mother of his 10-year-old son. Future and Smith recently reached a child support agreement based on his statement that his monthly income is $16,516. But Smith has filed a petition with the court to throw out the agreement and increase his payments to more accurately reflect his earnings, which she believes exceed $50,000 per week.
Gucci Mane Assaults Marine Inside an Atlanta Night Club
Over the weekend, Gucci Mane assaulted a U.S. Marine inside an Atlanta night club. The altercation occured after the soldier asked a security guard in the VIP section of Harlem Night if he could take a picture with the performer. “I was speaking to the security guard, and Gucci Mane hit me in the head with a bottle,” the Marine told wsbtv.com. “And as I looked at him in shock of why, one of his friends hit me on the side of my face.”
The soldier required 10 stitches and reportedly suffered a concussion. The Atlanta Police Department has issued an arrest warrant for the Brick Squad leader for aggravated assault. (Find out why Lil Wayne made the headlines last week.)
Seven People Shot During Lil Mouse Concert
On Thursday, March 21, seven people were shot during a Chicago concert that featured local rappers Lil Mouse and King Samson. Thankfully, there were no fatalities. Mouse is known for his appearance on Lil Wayne’s Dedication 4 mixtape and for an infamous YouTube video that shows him brandishing a firearm. Thus far, no one from his camp has issued a statement; however, the incident appears to have stemmed from a fight that started in the crowd. King Samson’s manager Justin Lewis responded to the shooting and denounced the gun violence that has plagued the city of late.
