Game will release his sixth studio album later this year. Blood Money La Familia is slated to hit shelves on Sept. 16 via eOne.
The West Coast rapper has long been rumored to be in talks to sign with Cash Money, and Birdman even announced he had officially joined the team late last year, but apparently those negotiations fell through. “Right now, I’m just enjoying my free agency,” Game told KarenCivil.com in December.
Only time will tell if eOne is a better fit. The label’s president, Alan Grunblatt, expressed confidence about the addition of Game to the roster. He said, “Game makes music people care about. I’m looking forward to a long and fruitful relationship between him, Cash Jones and eOne.”
Game expects the album to be another triumph. “Blood Money La Familia will be another No. 1 album,” said the rapper in a statement. It’s a feat he’s accomplished three times before: with his debut album The Documentary, its follow-up Doctor’s Advocate and 2011’s Jesus Piece.
