Game Announces ‘The Documentary 2’
Game has announced plans to release a follow-up to his debut album, The Documentary.
During an interview with LA Leakers, the California rapper said he hopes the LP will feature beats from several producers he’s worked with in the past, including Just Blaze, Scott Storch and Dr. Dre. He also has a general idea of when the album will hit shelves, despite not having a record deal.
“My sixth album, I don’t know where I’ma put that, but it’s gonna take a lot of money to have a conversation with me about it,” said Game to DJ Skee. “We gon’ try to get it out around the same time that the first Documentary dropped 10 years ago, which was Jan. 18. So, next January is gonna be the 10-year anniversary.”
The West Coast rapper also recently announced plans to release an album entitled Blood Money La Familia, which is set to arrive Sept. 16. That is now reportedly a compilation project. “We did a one-album deal with E1 for the Blood Money project to put on the artists and blow the label up,” said Game.
Game also spoke with Skee about the reunion of his former rap clique, G-Unit. Despite not being included, the performer said he harbors no hard feelings. “That was cool, man. I saw the pictures online and I actually, genuinely, from my heart, I thought it was a cool thing, man. Especially for Buck who was a good friend of mine,” he said.
