Today marks the launch of Gatorade’s Unreal Around the World football contest. Five lucky winners will have a once-in-a-life-time opportunity to visit, practice and play in some of the world’s most iconic football clubs, including FC Barcelona, AC Milan, Liverpool, Arsenal, Boca Juniors and the Brazilian Football Confederation.
To enter, contestants must shoot a video showcasing their most creative and unreal soccer handling skills and post it to the new GatoradeFootball.com, along with a short essay describing their dedication to the game and exactly how they consistently work to improve their performance. Entries—to be judged by an independent judging organization—will be accepted until 11:59 p.m. on June 12. For the five winners, the trip will run from approximately July 27 to August 12, 2014.
To enter, you must be between the ages of 14 and 18 (or 20, depending on your country of entry) and a non-NCAA athlete. (Read the full list of rules here).

The prize consists of $3,000 in cash and a two-week, around-the-world trip (estimated retail value, $30,000). Winners will begin their journey at the Gatorade Sports Science Institute lab at IMG Academy in Brandenton, Florida, where they will undergo the same type of testing as the pros: body composition, sweat and fuel analyses. Gatorade will compile the results into customized “Gatorade formulas” and sports fueling plans for the athletes to learn from and use during the rest of their adventure. From there, the winners will continue on to visit some of most elite football clubs in the world, wrapping things up in Brazil for an unbelievable experience with the Brazilian Football Confederation.
“The prize is what so many footballers around the world dream about and something only Gatorade can offer: the opportunity to experience and train at some of the fields and stadiums of their heroes, past and present,” said Molly Carter, Gatorade’s Senior Director of Consumer Engagement. “Several of our team partners have opened their doors to us to make this possible. We collectively enjoy being able to provide an experience like this, as it gives us the opportunity to drive the performance of elite footballers and underscores our growing commitment to the sport.”
