Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Future Soldier hits store shelves May 22. The game combines the tactical combat for which the Ghost Recon series is famous with tons of futuristic weapons and technology. Ghost Recon fans have been looking forward to the realistic tactical action since it was first promised in 2009. Now that it’s here, we can safely say that Future Soldier is far more than action and special effects; it’s a strategic shooter in which every second, team member and corner counts.
In Ghost Recon: Future Soldier, you are in charge of a squad of United States Army Special Forces operators known as “The Ghosts.” The story begins after things go horribly wrong behind enemy lines. You’re tasked with saving the world by coordinating with your squad, fighting with next-generation weapons and strategically using cover in constantly-changing environments.
Get pumped for the game by viewing “Ghost Recon Alpha,” a short film with the gliltz of a Hollywood blockbuster. You can also check out Team Ghost, featuring elite athlete gamers like NBA All-Star Kevin Love and first-round NFL Draft pick Justin Blackmon.
With its emphasis on strategic teamwork, Ghost Recon: Future Soldier multiplayer should be a blast to play with teammates. Buy it for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 next Tuesday; PC drops on June 12.
