Koji Uehara is a remarkable story. After spending almost a decade pitching in Japan, he immigrated to America to pitch for the Baltimore Orioles in 2009. He later signed a one-year deal for the 2013 season with the Red Sox. He was supposed to be a set-up man, but injuries to Andrew Bailey and Joel Hanrahan forced him into the closer's role, where he was fantastic. Also fantastic? Uehara's passion for the game. His hugs, high fives and overall boyish love for the game made for some awesome, and strangely intimate GIFs during Boston's run to the World Series.
