‘GTA V’ Coming to the PC?
As the September release date for Grand Theft Auto V gets closer, fans have grown more ravenous for new information. So when Amazon’s German site posted a pre-order link to a PC version of the game, it didn’t take long for gamers to notice.
The update makes sense, given Rockstar’s tendency to release a computer version of the game a few months after it reaches consoles. The PS3 and Xbox 360 editions will hit shelves on Sept. 17, a delay from Rockstar’s initial winter target. But the developer hasn’t revealed a PC date yet. Rockstar is taking its time with the game to make make sure the quality is up to the standard fans have come to expect from the series. If the material in the trailer is any indication, they’ve definitely succeeded. Watch the trailer below.
[youtube video=”Bf38HiYPMiI” /]The clip focuses on the three main protagonists: Michael, who seeks to find balance between his family life and a life of crime; Trevor, an unhinged war vet turned thug with an explosive temper; and Franklin, an inner-city criminal. Their stories intertwine throughout the game, but they also have their own fleshed-out storylines.
Each character comes with a unique set of skills. Michael has a neat slow-motion trick, Franklin is skilled at driving and Trevor has the ability to lose control and go on a rampage. They also have different ratings based on a basic skillset of stamina, shooting, strength, stealth, flying and driving.
The clip reveals more info about the environment Rockstar has created for GTA V. According to reports from sites that were invited to demo the game, the detail that the series has become known for will become even more intricate. Excited yet?
