Since Cleveland Browns wide receiver Josh Gordon is suspended for the entire NFL season, he has a lot of free time on his hands.
According to ESPN’s Josina Anderson, Gordon will fill some of that time working at a local car dealership.
Gordon has taken a job at Sarchione Auto Group in Randolph, Ohio. He will work mainly as a goodwill ambassador, but his duties supposedly cover all aspects of the car business (including sales).
Gordon is also heading up the auto group’s community outreach efforts, which include working with the Wounded Warriors Project.
A troubled out-of-the-game athlete taking a job at a local car dealership. Haven’t we heard this one before?
Even if we might not necessarily agree with Gordon’s taste in cars, it’s gratifying to see him helping out a local business and doing charity work. If he can stay clean and work hard, it could go a long way toward earning back the trust of the fans, the players and the league.
