Baseball can be a slow, monotonous game. A ball might not come your way in the field for innings at a time. There can be multiple pitching changes in the span of a half inning. You typically bat only once every three innings. In short, there's a lot of down time. And sometimes you want to use said downtime to do some grooming.
That's what Houston Astros third baseman Alex Bregman did on Sunday, when at some point between the second and fourth inning, he decided to get rid of his mustache. Maybe he wasn't feeling the look anymore. Maybe he got bored. Whatever the case, it was fairly jarring when he strolled to the plate in the fourth looking like a totally different dude.
Bruh, did Alex Bregman really shave his 'stache during the game? pic.twitter.com/C8OByjXJB8

Baseball is weird, man.
