“Water can flow, or it can crash. Be water, my friend.”
Can’t get enough Bruce Lee? You won’t want to miss the long-awaited Bruce Lee documentary, I Am Bruce Lee, coming out in select theaters on Feb. 9 and Feb. 15 only.
The new feature-length documentary delves into Lee’s career, highlighting the martial artist’s influence on some of today’s best known personalities. It features footage from legendary Bruce Lee films like Way of the Dragon, Fist of Fury and Game of Death, as well as celebrity interviews with stars like Manny Pacquiao, Kobe Bryant, Dana White and Jon Jones. The trailer promises a nice mix of classic Bruce Lee with new material.
If you’re not sure why people make such a big deal about a 1970s action star who starred in only a handful of films—or if it’s been awhile since you’ve watched a Bruce Lee movie—do yourself a favor and rent one or stream it on Netflix. The stunt work alone, which Lee performed and directed himself, is worth your time and money.
Although we’re excited to hear what Kobe has to say about Lee, we’re even more excited about footage of interviews with Lee himself. The man has some great words to motivate athletes.
