Insidious: Chapter 3, a prequel to the popular feature film horror series, stars Dermot Mulroney. Returning castmates include actress Lin Shaye as Elise Rainier, Leigh Whannell as Specs, Angus Sampson as Tucker, Steve Coulter in the role of Carl, and reprising his character The Bride in Black is Tom Fitzpatrick. Joining the cast are Stefanie Scott of the Disney Channel’s A.N.T. Farm, Hayley Kiyoko (The Fosters) and Ashton Moio (Twisted).

The screenplay was written by Whannell, who co-wrote the previous two movies. The actor/filmmaker is also making his directorial debut. Jason Blum and Oren Peli are returning as producers, joined by franchise co-creator James Wan, who co-wrote Insidious: Chapter 2 and directed the first two movies.

The franchise has proven to be a lucrative one. Insidious and Insidious: Chapter 2 grossed a combined $257 million worldwide. There’s every reason to think the prequel will do as well at the box office as its predecessors.

Insidious: Chapter 3 will hit theaters nationwide on June 5.
